Tom have written a number of best-selling non-fiction books for professional magicians<\/a>, and have been the main instructor at the courses Magic 1 and Magic 2 at Stockholm University of the Arts. His own studies of how we humans observe the world have made him a recurring guest lecturer at several universities where he describe and illustrate how the brain interpret stimuli and how illusions work scientifically.<\/p>\n

Limits of Perception<\/strong>. How come that magic tricks even work? How can you stare straight at something, and still not see it? If you and a friend stand at a mirror, how come you can see your friend’s eyes move, but never your own?<\/p>\n

Conjurers have always known there are gaps in the human perception and have based their art on that knowledge. Only just recently, science and cognitive research have begun to examine similar questions, and an overlap have been found in some areas.
